| Home, but not alone |
| On Oct. 28, 2005, Dominic N. and Irene C. Mastroianni happily moved out of the apartment they were renting in Springfield and into one of the area's newest senior living communities.
They had owned their own house for 35 years and then rented for 13 years from his brother. "We didn't like living on the second floor. The stairs bothered me a lot," she said.
Among the first to move in to Keystone Woods, they have a one-bedroom apartment. Once inside, it feels like their own home, with decorations such as her porcelain Raggedy Ann and Andy sitting on the floor in the comfortable living room and her collection of Hummel figurines in a case. |

| Keystone Woods is looking for senior citizens who are looking for an easier lifestyle living among fellow seniors and it appears that it has gone out of its way to attract them. A brand new facility containing 97 independent living apartments and 92 assisted living apartments on a 17 acre, wooded and well-manicured site was recently opened up for public view. |
